I've called and emailed everywhere. The Parts Place can go !@#$% themselves for $349 a rim. Wheel Vintiques will also make you a rim for $350. Mcalvo found a place that will chrome steel 15x7's for $175 per rim but my chroming place in Syracuse said the only correct way to do it is to seperate the two pieces and chrome them individually and then weld them back together. He was going to find out if that was the way they were going to do it for the $175.

My problem is I have one 15x7 and two 15x8 repros. The backspace on the repro 15x7's differs from the factory original by 1/4" so I need a repro to complete the set.

If anyone finds a source please let me know too. I've also tried (at least) Eastwood, OPGI, Specialty, & Blue Oval Ranch. I think either Specialty or Wheel Vintiques originally ran these. I think now they are only running SSI's. Once the market gets flooded with those they'll probably run something else. I think the best thing to do is contact places like to Wheel Vintiques and Specialtly Wheel so they perceive a demand.

I am looking for SS III's 15x7's Black to match body color. Can anyone point me in good direction? Based on the threads I understand that repo's of SSIII are not available.

Is my best bet to find an older set and get them refurbished?

FWIW Wheel Vintiques is supposedly offering SSIII's in chrome again.

It's worth a call to them and see if they will do a set in black but you can usually find a decent set of original SSIII's for less than $300 if you look hard enough. Chances are you'll have to restore them yourself or pay someone to do it. You should also figure that the trim rings and caps are usually driver condition at best on most of the used sets.

Maybe try Craigslist. I just picked up a really nice chrome set last weekend, including center caps, and Olds lug nuts and very good tires on them.
