Tires and wheels are on the way!

Well, I decided it was time to give the car a little different look, I've always liked the weld drag lite wheels but the price was a little steep for me, jegs has a nice looking knock offs called the sportlite. My choice was 15x4 fronts with 1.75" b.s. and 15x10 rears with 5.5" b.s. and tire sizes are p165/80/15 and p265/50/15 hopefully it's all here next week

X2 , would like to see the after pics. I like the original rally rims as well. I likely wouldn't have bought Cragar SS rims if my 76 came with those rally rims. I just hated the hub caps .

Always liked Draglites! Have had them on several different vehicles over the last 25+ years. 265-50? Haven't seen that size in years, pretty short tire! 295-50 would look a lot better and fit these cars perfectly.

If I were to run a 295/50 what would you recommend for front tires? I picked the 265/50 because the tire on the car is a 235/60/14 measuring 25" tall and the 265/50/15 is very close to the same height. I am ordering tires tomorrow and the sizes aren't necessarily set in stone, so if there is a better option I'm all ears

I would also put a 295/50 on a 10" wide rim. A 265 will look a bit 'stretched' on a 10" wide rim.

Great choice on the rims though, those will never go out of style IMO.

Go with 295-50 and since you ordered 4" fronts it limits what you can use but the 165-80 tires will still work.

Nick I've seen your wheels and tire combo in the flesh. You picked well, young paduan.

Does anyone know what lug nuts torque spec is on these cars? I found some information on the nets that's says 100ft/lbs but I thought that seems a bit high for a 7/16 stud

There should be some instructions in the box or on it that should give specs.

Whoa, it sounds like something that got deleted (rightfully so) in the middle but you've made it through & are still standing coming out the other side. Onward & upward brother. Car looks good & best of luck moving forward.

I deleted mine now also, and thanks, I made it through, and it was a battle for sure, I normally don't get that vocal over small stuff, but something's just shouldn't be brought up, that's just respect
