It's hard to say which cars got what we now call the SSI wheels. There were production problems in the '68 model year with what we now call the SSII wheels and there are (as I understand) a few instances of "early" model year '68 cars receiving SSI wheels. What constitutes "early" is another good question. Production problems with the SSII wheel were supposedly resolved and SSII wheels were fully available in the mid- to latter part of March 1968.

Really? Well I will defer to the experts but I could have sworn I have seen ss1 on 68,$ as original to the car ???? Thanks for the clarification ans apologies for the bad info steve
