The B-Bodies are the fullsize rear wheel drive cars and wagons from 1977-1996 with a body change in 1991. The G-Bodies are the smaller sedans. I don't know all the years for those but they are also rear wheel drive. Your 1987 Cutlass Cruiser is front wheel drive. Not sure which platform it is.

As for your headlight door, what car? If it's the 87 Cutlass Cruiser in your title, then it's neither B-body nor G-body. That is an A-body car. Those cars are virtually unsupported in the reproduction aftermarket, so your only choice is good used parts from a wrecking yard.

Hi Joe!
I just picked up a shop manual for a '87 custom cruiser and a few others which I can't remember right now. It seems I can use this for my Cutlass Cruiser but it depends if it's a "B" or "G" carline. Can I not use this manual if my car is a "A" carline? What should I know about the differences between the carlines? What is a "carline"? Where can I read up on this so I don't have to bother you?

'Cutlass Cruiser' is applied to right and left fenders in chrome raised letters. Below that is the international array of flags.

Whoops, Joe!
I just now found your July 14, 2009 post. Is this the info I'm looking for?

Yes, specifically this part:

As I said above, your car is a front wheel drive A-body car line. The Cutlass Cruiser is based on the Cutlass Ciera model. The manual you bought is not the correct one and contains nothing that will help you. The B-body and G-body cars were rear wheel drive. Sorry. There is a completely separate manual for the 1987 Ciera line.
