Need a little Education

I'm considering upgrading (degrading for some purists, I suppose....) my '72 VC with a 455 and an OAI hood. What years of Cutlass 442 will provide donor parts? I know it's been done before, so I'd appreciate any input you guys have.
thx,Ed

455s are still out there and dont be afraid to use one from 73-76 full size, compression and h.p. ratings are low but they are still a big improvement over a stock 350 and practically a bolt for bolt swap plus they are very mild mannered.big block torque feels good

If we knew where you are, we might be able to help find an engine for you. There is one in the Tampa, FL area.

In negotiations with the guy. The tornado was 10 miles East of him.
Turns out the engine is a smogger (68 to 72, 'J' heads) out of a boat. Got a friend going over to look at it tomorrow.........I'll report the outcome.
