Looking for cost value ease of repair I'm not against sending it out but what about parts?

I think it comes in 2 halfs and the part that needs most attention is the front half
This is my first post so be kind and thank you for your help. I am just beginning my restoration (while driving it as much as possible)

Hello and welcome.

The trim color for my Vista Cruiser is 309 per the Fisher Body ID plate. That was called Dark Saddle.

The headliner fabric style for all Vista Cruisers is called Premier Non-perforated.

I bought the two-piece headliner kit and 1.5 yards of matching material (for the four sun shades) from Pro-Fit, 256.835.7107. They will send you a color sample.

If you have the same interior code, then ask for the same headliner sample that I did. It was their sample number 33NP and they called it Dark Saddle Brown.

My cost for the headliners and yardage was about $350.

Good luck and so nice to see people preserving (and enjoying) these cars.

Before the new headliner

VC455 was very helpful with part numbers, as you see, the headliner, both in front of, and behind the top glass, is held in with the looped fabric around roof bow style. Fortunately the headliner is made in two pieces, the 'seam' being the sculptured metal piece seen in the upper right corner of one of the pictures.

I will keep looking for the pictures of the fellow putting together the new headliner into our '72. In the front section, there are a decent bit of curves and contours to the whole deal, watching the fellow work, it seemed like he was here and there, adjusting this and that. If you are very good at upholstery work, then go ahead!
