First of all, great forum! We are considering joining the VC wagon family and picking one up with the 3rd row for our kids to ride in. One question though, I can't seem to find any info on 3rd row seat belts. Does the VC have seat belts in the 3rd row? And if so, does it have 2 or 3?

From what I remember from 40 years ago, there were two seat belts back there.
Others with more recent experience with VCs may be a better source of information, though.

Thank you for the replies. There's a 67 that I've got my eye on, but it's out of state so I can't climb back there to confirm. Does anyone know if the 67 had these belts too? Just wondering if maybe it was the later ones. Hope it all works out, VC's are way cool.

Belts were required by federal law for every seating position. They were there when the car was new. Usually they have been pushed down under the seat.

Looks like starting in 1968 they were mandatory, but maybe GM was installing before? I'll ask the guy to check inside the seat cushion crack to see if they're hiding back there somewhere.

Usually you have to lift the bottom cushion to find them.

That was exactly the tip I needed. Called the guy back and had him look under the bottom cushion. He found all 3 seat belts in the 3rd row.

Glad that worked out. FYI, there are only two sets of belts in the third row - one half on each end and the two mating halves in the middle. Four half belts total.
