Found a 64 D88 Fiesta - what should I look for?
I found a 70K mile '64 D88 Fiesta recently that looks like a possibility for a resto. What obvious pressure points on the car should I look for that present problems in these grocery getters?

I had a 64 98 years ago with the 394 and Slim Jim Rotohydramatic. The engine ran well but the transmission was a slush box. Make sure the transmission in the Fiesta shifts firmly. Also, make sure all the glass is good. If that glass were to break it would be nearly impossible to replace.

Check the frame carefully for rust out .
Particularly the " torque boxes " ( the parts that connect the front and rear rails to the side rails) .
These will fill up with sand and dirt and rust from the inside out .
A rotted frame has spelled a " death knell " to many a 61 to 64 Olds.
