Hey guys,

Is the interior windshield pillar for a Vista Cruiser ('68/'69) made of the same soft material as a convertible car or is it made of metal?

I have this pillar and am trying to determine it's application. It's not for a convertible - notice the upper end.

I'm thinking that is correct for a 69 car (maybe 68 as well)......I have a buddy here with a '69 Supreme hardtop and I think that car has padded interior A-pillar moldings. Haven't seen the car in years but that's what I recall.

But......there may be a difference, height-wise, b/n the Wagon/4 door and a 2 door hardtop.

See what else happens here response-wise.

So, Funk, does the A-pillar molding in my first post look like those used in '68/'69 Vista Cruisers?

I hopeful someone who has a Cutlass coupe can confirm/deny it applies to those cars, as well, as mentioned by Patton.

When I say they are identical, I mean that the 4 door/wagon pillar panels are the same as a coupe. I cannot speak for the 68/69's with regard to being plastic or not. My experience is primarily with 70-72... I've always assumed that the 68-69's were metal, but maybe I'm mistaken.

The 68-69 Trim is padded(As in the OP's picture) on the Vista cruiser/wagon.
I believe these are unique to the wagon and 4 door models. Keep in mind the windshield height and angle are different on the wagons/4 doors as opposed to the two doors, so they would not interchange
