Since I am missing most of the head bolts from my 324 rebuild should I buys new bolts or switch to a Ross Racing stud kit?

Just get new bolts. If you don't plan on racing your car then why would you put racing studs on it? If you were going to put racing studs on it then you "might as well" put a girdle on the bottom end too and...

Ross Racing makes a lot of parts for the first generation Olds motors not all are for racing purposes. That being said I probably would get my bolts at the local fastener store, grade 8 I believe is what was used on the heads ,stay away of the China made stuff if you can ....Tedd

The clamping force of our studs is far superior that the stock bolts......buying bolts at a hardware store won't be any cheaper than a stud kit....and surely not as good.... That is if you can even find the proper lengths.

I've also got stock bolts if the budget is that strict....give me a call.

Our company name is Ross Racing Engines because of the world we come from ,and the fact that we are custom builders......doesn't mean we don't supply stock or street parts and engines.

Not much price difference between buying new bolts and studs.
If you were at 60 over...and the heads were never comimg back off..I might chose bolts.
