'47 trim removal

I feel dumb having to ask, but I'm looking for tips to the remove side trim that surrounds the windows on a '47. Tried a putty knife, but it didn't act like it was wanting to pop off, and I was reluctant to use too much force untill I checked to see if someone had a better way.
Thanks,Doug.

I'll take a look at mine it was removed when I bought the car and packaged up and labeled. I will also look at my manuals and see if they say anything I get back to you by Saturday after Thanksgiving
