'48 98 Steering Column Color
I'm restoring a 98 convertible and am curious if all of the steering columns and deluxe steering wheels are beige or are they body color. I'm painting the car denmark blue with nightshade blue trim on the upper dash and door trim.

The '48 sales brochure shows a yellow convertible with green interior. The upper part of the dash and the door and quarter trim are body color. The lower part of the dash a steering column are the same silvery-beige color that the closed cars are. I think I have something at home that refers to the "technical" name for that color. I don't know if the steering wheel is painted like the column, or if it is some sort of ivory color.

Hi, I’m restoring a 48 98 convertible Nankeen Cream/ Green.
The dash, steering column, gear shift lever are of that silver-metallic brown. The center of the steering wheel is too of that color. Not sure about the steering wheel. I’ll check.
The upper parts of the windows/door trims are dark green.
I’m not sure about the top frame color that is black (the top that I got is black too), but was not original, so I’m not sure how the top canvas were originally.
Was black top over black frame or maybe green top over black frame?
Can someone give me a hint about the top/frame color combination?
Thanks,
Jorge
