Scarebird 53-56 Drum Rim Disc Conv Kit

Hi All

Anyone have experience with this kit in particular? The ad says it will fit with the stock 15" rims, which is pretty cool. The website also says that some of their customers have used this kit with the original single chamber master cylinder. Just wondering if anyone here has done so. I'd be interested in knowing how its holding up and if you're happy with the results.

Thanks

Dan

Most builders of this type of modification don't recommend the stock master cylinder and
booster as it isn't powerful enough to support the new system. I personally have not seen anyone use the original MC and booster on fifties era cars and a'm a little surprised that Scarebird mentioned it could work.... Tedd

Seriously -- wrong.....
Tedd is on the money -- there is no way that any one of these new-fangled kits will work with the conventional stock system.....

And, do you really want to make your car a parked car for years figuring out what to do???????/ Know the expression, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"?????

You're in Massapequa Park --- you're not using the car in Manhattan Rush Hour Traffic..............
