Excellent! I've only seen two real Curved Dash Oldsmobiles, but I've seen plenty of fake ones, aka reproductions.

The first one I saw was at the OCA national meet in 1987 in Lansing. An old timer was there with his car trying to get it to start. They were both of the same temperament. I surmised he was either the same age as the car or it's original owner.

The second real Curved Dash I saw was(is) in the Harrah auto museum in Reno. Looks like I'll make a trip to the Olds Museum in Lansing to see this one. The only other time I was there was in 87.

Well isn't this one a reproduction as it was made in 1947 with nos and modern parts. Its a tribute vehicle made by Olds to honor himself.

Hm, I guess you could say that it is. A tribute vehicle to honor yourself. Quite the concept.

Wasn't the Curved Dash made until 1904 or 1905?

If so, how was this 1903 the last Curved Dash built?

umm, because it was the last one built by Olds himself??

That is an incredibly story. I wish I could have been the one at the tiller. Amazing those tires were still holding air and not all rotted out. I noticed that poor car didn't have the 'power top' and 'rear speaker' options...but it had those classy Xtreme Stock (as in wood) Wheels!!!

Did any of you catch the Olds emblem on the side of the body?

cool story, only one I've ever seen was burried about half way in Clovis NM while stationed in Cannon AFB. I though it was an old snow sled until I stopped and took a closer look, real sad they let it go to waste, will see if I can find pics of it to post
