'49 Olds 88 choke heat tube?

I am working on my '49- 88 and the choke heat tube has gone bad...I have the old one out and need a new tube...It is about 9.5" long and is 3/8" diameter...any suggestions on where to get a new tube? This is the tube that fits inside the intake manifold and delivers heat to the tube that goes to th where the heat tube fits in the manifold.e automatic choke via another outside tube...the outside tube is OK. I noticed an exhaust keak sound especially when the engine is cold...turns out the 3/8" steel pipe didn't reach all the way across the intake manifold, the leak was from this area.

According to the Olds parts book the tube is part of the intake manifold. You may need to fabricate your own or find another manifold (part No. 557709).

Does it have rust holes through the tubing or is it just plugged up with something that resembles hard water stains. If it is not rusty ,I'd soak it in carb cleaner for 24 hrs.and try running a small wire through it.If th wire goes through just keep cleaning, and maybe you can save it. Larry
