1957 olds headliner installation

I have been working on a 1957 Olds Super88 2 dr and this car came to me in pieces. A new headliner was in a sealed package that also included material for the sun visors. This car has 3 aluminum cross bows and several listing wires. Does the tacking stripe on the sides above the glass area need to be replaced? Is it a must for a proper installation? The front and rear I already replaced but am concerned after watching a You Tube demonstration. Any other advice or precautions? Does it make a difference which end I start on? Thanks, Rod rtkrager@yahoo.com 989 662 0135

If you don't get the answers you are looking for you might post this in the vintage forum, that's where most of the 50's guys hang out. There should be quite a few 57 owners there..... Tedd
