1953 Grille Extension Wanted

1953 Grille Extension Wanted
Does anyone have a lead on where I could get a grille extension for my 53? I`ve been looking on and off for about a year so at this point I am just thinking about going custom like 54 Chevy grille, or Vette, w/Caddy bumper or Buick front. Because its getting maddening and now I can see why a lot of guys go custom......

Been looking for the center myself and the bottom. You are correct, very hard to find the fender extensions. I have a 98 passenger side but not sure it is the same.

There is a site called www.swapsellit.com that shows several different grills that custom
Builders used in cars of this era.I remember the 1952 Desota grill was used frequently,and the '54 Pontiac center grill bar. Best of luck.
If you were looking for fender extensions (chrome) behind the grill ,they are nearly impossible for any '50's model Olds. Larry

Maybe someone will chime in with a Hollander Manual ,but I believe the front fenders and lower hood trim and fender extensions are the same on "88 and 98's on the '53. Larry
Fella's I may have found something.Desert Valley Auto Parts show 3 '53 Olds "88's and they all are pictured with the fender extensions. Their # is
1-800-905-8024 ,and they are in Arizona. Can't hurt to call. Larry

My parts book only goes back to 1954 , on this particular part .
You might try messenging Ozzie , his book goes back farther and he may be able to tell you for sure whether 88 & 98 are the same .

the 53 98 one i have is badly cracked/ broken toward the rear of fender very sorry.
i do have both sides for the 51 and a two piece centerpiece for the 52 in good re-chromable shape.
