Why would my 69 442 slip slightly in first
Why would my 69 442 slip slightly in first. Just doesn't get off the line like I think it should. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks Eddie

Slipping in gear could point to low fluid level. I'm sure you checked that, which leads me to say its an internal problem $. Perhaps its a linkage/shifter cable issue.........check to see that it correctly moves and not stuck inbetween selected ranges.

thanks don,
fluid level okay. when starting for a dead stop. it just feels like trans is slipping. when it hits 2nd..it's okay. someone also said to check all vac hoses for leaks... could this also be the cause? eddie
