Speedometer Delete Plug

I've searched high and low and can not find one that says it fits the TH350. Anyone have any info on where I can find one? I can't believe that no one makes one. It's out of a 72 Cutlass if that makes any difference.

Just remove the driven gear from speedometer housing and tap it and install set-screw loctited there on place of that driven gear axle?

Even easier: measure the diameter of the hole in the trans case, get an appropriately-sized freeze plug, and tap it in. Hint: use brass, not steel, to avoid galvanic corrosion.

Thanks guys. I just can't believe that with as many of these that are out there that no one makes one.

Use a brass freeze plug. I THINK a 7/8 plug will work for the smaller bullet style.
