1965 vintage BW T-10 service
Hello,
I need to have my Borg Warner T-10 4 speed rebuilt.
There is a hollow rattle noise internally when the drivetrain is engaged.
Like something is loose rattling around inside the case.
The noise is not there if the clutch is pressed to the floor.
I'm looking for recommendation for shop to rebuild Long Island N.Y.
Thanks,
Robert

I know you can't "third" a motion, but I agree. Larry from D&L did a Muncie for my Chevelle SS around 20 years ago. Great guy to deal with and It came back perfect. He's been in business a while and is well versed in manual transmissions.

A worn (loose) throw out bearing can "rattle" when clutch pedal is not depressed. The pivots on the clutch fork could be worn and "rattle" a little when no pressure is applied.
The key word is "rattle". That can happen when parts are worn. It could be a bad Pilot bearing also. Checking the easy things first is something to think about.
