Help me ID this transmission TH350?
Hi all,
I'm moving home and this has been sitting under my work bench for 10 years. A friend of mine (mechanic) who worked at the local GM dealership dropped it back then. He said it "came from a truck" and "I wouldn't have given it to you if it wasn't working."
Any ideas?

So this is a case of "shifted when parked"?
All you can tell from those photos is that it is a Chevy TH350. The very short output shaft suggests it is from a 4WD configuration (which is why there is no tailhousing). The current output shaft is too short for the use of any 2WD tailhousing. Without a picture of the trans ID tag (which appears to be missing), that's all you can tell. As it appears to have been rebuilt, even with the tag, there is no way to know if the trans is internally stock or not.
