Turbo 400 trans mount spacers?

Can anyone tell me if a 1972 H/O with a 455 and Turbo 400 needs to have spacers between the top of trans mount and bottom of tranny? See pic attached from Buick shop manual. Thanks, Steve.

Those look to be lock washers illustrated in the wrong place.

Get the correct Olds Chassis Service Manual and you'll see there are no spacers.

I don't know for sure, but I definitely know those ARE spacers, and they were used on Buick GS cars. I know my 69 442 doesn't use them. I suspect it may be something related to an engine mounting difference between the Buick + Olds that alters the angle a bit. Like Joe says...get the right manual, different cars are different! Buicks have a LOT of parts that aren't on Olds. They have extra body mounts, a lot of extra braces + brackets, just to name a few.

Those shims/washers are indicated in the 71 Assembly manual, so I cant see why 72 would be any different. They sit between the mount and the transmission and are for the TH400 only. Part number 585792. As a guess, they must assist with the driveline angles.
