Detent Cable on 76' Cutlass

Good Afternoon! I have a 350/4bbl Cutlass and I was wondering about the detent cable. I have replaced the ones attached to the carb before (On Chevys) and this is the first time I've seen one attached to the gas pedal. I love it! One question though, is there any adjustment involed? Or do I just pull the black rubber end all the way through the hole in the pedal and call it a day? Thanks in advance!

Kickdown cable adjustment is provided by moving the clip on the end of the cable where it passes through the tab on the accelerator pedal. Note the clip on the end of the cable in the lower LH corner of this photo.
