Knocking sound under shifter

Ok so i dropped into 1st gear and a high pitch knocking sound started right under the floor shifter. It goes away after driving but comes back occasionally, especially when i turn right corners. Any thoughts what this might be? Cheap and easy-to-fix answers only please!

Turn up your radio until you can't hear it.

Time to do a bit more troubleshooting, could be as simple as a ujoint or trans mount.

I had one that had a bent transmission crossmember. Somehow the crossmember had been bent upwards, thus making the input shaft hit the bottom of the car, but only if I hit a dip in the road. Having more then one person in the car also made a difference.
