questions on B&M transpak

So I have an 86 cutlass with a th350 in it. Got this transpak with it. I was real excited to put it in but when I started reading the instructions it says it can not be used on a TH 350c which is easily determined by a plug on the drivers side of trans above pan. Well mine has that plug. My first question is what is it for?
My second question is could this kit be used if you are not using that plug? Because I do not have it plugged in and I cant tell that it any issue as car shifts fine.
Any input would be appreciated.
I was just thinking maybe the trans pak would interfere with the electrical part of things and if im not using it could the pak work?

The th350c is equipped with a lockup torque converter from the factory. That plug intitiates the lockup.
As far as using that kit, I would guess it won't work. You might email or call b&m and see why and if they have a kit that will work.
