OW W-30 transmission- valve body.

What is unique about the 1970 OW transmission valve body I noticed it has 2 wires on the plastic connector that is connected to the transmission housing, kick down and what is the other one for?

TCS, Transmission controlled spark. It activates the solenoid on the intake manifold for distributor vacuum. This is not specific to the W-30 valve body but I believe the W-30 valve body is specific to the OW.

Transmission Controlled Spark is an early emissions control system designed to lower NOx emissions. It has nothing to do with performance. Every new Olds had it that year.
