4 speed clutch slipping again

1971 442 4 speed,,455,mild build, street driven only,, when i first installed the engine i replaced the clutch with a Centerforce duel friction assembly.. new flywheel,, pilot bearing,, about 500 miles now and its starting to slip under semi hard acceleration,, free play is good,, at 1 inch 1 1/2- no oil on the flywheel. I have been replacing clutches since i was 16 and this is a first for me,, any suggestions,, thanks Carl

I have heard of these problems with centerforce clutches slipping. Unfortunately, it appears you will have to change your clutch again. I would suggest RAM clutch, McLeod, or Hays. I have always used Hays clutches with no issues. The clutches that I mention do there own manufacturing. Centerforce does not manufacture there own clutches.
