Question Stock stall speed

Would anyone happen to know what the stock torque converter stall speed (rated) would have been on a 1971 small block Cutlass with 3.73 rear gears and limited slip?
I've been looking online and getting answers (for GM) of anywhere from 1100 to 1800.

Way, way back in high school I was told the factory converter was ~1500 RPM and the higher stall converters used behind performance engines were ~1800 RPM. I can't really say how accurate that information is since we didn't have the internet back then.

No internet? Whoa, how old are you, Kenneth? Lol, JK. I remember renting a VHS movie....AND and VCR (as a young adult), lol.

I'm seriously thinking of getting a lower stall TC. The 2500 just seems like too much. I feel like I'm towing a trailer full of bricks unless I stomp it to the floor.
My cam card from CutlassEFI doesn't list the powerband but I googled the grind number for Erson and it claims 1000-4000 power band. I'm looking at the Monster Trans 1800-2000. They also have a 1650. Is the current thinking to go with no less than 500 over the start of the power band?
