I'm looking for a replacement flywheel for a 1966 F85 with a 330, drilled and tapped for an 11" clutch. All I can find is a $400 Centerforce from Summit that is way beyond the price and performance that I'm looking for.

Is there a lower performance alternative out there, or am I stuck with spending $400 on a flywheel that will probably never see more than 3000rpm?

New flywheels are expensive. When you are talking about one that only fits 4 years that can be even more of an issue. 64-67 on that flywheel but it does fit 330 400 and 425. I suggest you start a parts wanted thread and maybe you will find a used one for about half the price.

Stock 64- 67 flywheels are fairly plentiful. ive sold many of them in the 75-90 range. many people out there think they are "gold" and ask upward to 200 for them. shop around and you can fine one for 100 or less. These are not "explosion-proof" rated like the 400$ Centerforce ones are. Keep that in mind! Used aluminum explosion proof like Shiefer or Hayes are usually around 200-250 if you can find one.
Dont fret about the bolt pattern -- if you buy one for a 68-up, you can always get a machinest to drill the early pattern between the holes that are there -- then you will have one that fits both patterns.
Shop around -- you will find what you need at a price youre willing to pay.

Thanks for the responses. I ended up getting a McLeod flywheel for about $300. It's a lot more than I wanted to spend but at least it's a respected brand.
