Well my dilemma is that the rad in my 84 olds is what I'm probably gonna use for my 350 that I'm swapping in. But i think the transmission cooler that is inside the radiator is shot. When i was blowing out the lines it was red thick foamy transmission fluid, it doesn't seem that its mixing with the antifreeze though as its still green. I was wondering if the transmission will be okay with an aftermarket transmission cooler (i don't want it to get too hot or too cold). I was also wondering if its possible to make a transmission cooler out of the a/c condenser that sits in front of the rad. the a/c no longer works . Or if you guys know of any cars that would be plentiful at the junkyard that had a stock transmission cooler please tell me all the makes and models i should look for. Appreciate the help guys.
