63 f85 with th350?

So I’m wanting to put in a th350 into my 63 f85. What mods if any do I have to do? The transmission does have the BOP already.

I wouldn't think it's the same bellhousing pattern as the 1964 & up engines. But, I really don't know for sure. Assuming it is the 215 V-8.

You have to get an adapter plate and major floor pan modification. It is easier to install a 200c because it can be installed with no floor pan cutting. I have not done it but there is a really good thread about it on the Jetfire forum. Sadly, that forum does not have a search feature and I don't know how to do it with Google. Joe P will likely reply with better information.

Okay thanks for the info, I’ll try to look for that. Glad I asked before buying one!

What Eric said. The thread on oldsjetfire.com is here. Again, the easy way to search any forum is to use Google. Type the forum URL in quotes first, then the topic.
