Trailrunner

I have a 67 Toronado with comfortron that I would like to restore. I also have another 67 that is basically a parts car - poor shape. It has standard heating / AC. Has anyone switched from comfortron to standard? Just wondering if anyone has tried it successfully because comfortron is difficult to troubleshoot and get parts for. Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can share.
