1970 Toro w/buckets and console
I'm pretty sure I've seen Toros with consoles before, but it seems like it was a more Toro specific console as opposed to the one pictured here. Clearly this is the same console as the Cutlass/442. Were there different consoles offered on these Toros?
Btw, (I love this car) I live close enough to check this car out if anyone is interested in it. Also, I have no idea if this price is high, low or what.

Actually, no. The 67-69 Toros used the same console as the 67-69 Cutlii, with the addition of a piece on the bottom of the console so it fit the flat floor. This is shown in the Chassis Service Manual. The Toro buckets are also the same as A-body buckets (and B-body buckets). I had not seen a 70 Toro with a console before. It apparently uses the additional adapter piece on the bottom of the 70 A-body console. By the way 68-69 Cutlass consoles are completely different from 70-72 Cutlass consoles.

In my travels I have seen very few Toro's with consoles most of the Toro's I've seen with buckets have column shift and no console.. Although I did see a 70 delta 88 convert with buckets and an early style console with a column shift. Lots of strange stuff has passed in front of me.

That car was on ebay numerous times with no sale. Not 100% sure what is going on with it, I think the first business went under and then it popped up again. I could never get any call backs, just pics. The previous shop always had a reason why it was not a good time to check it out.
