1966Toro-RochesterQuadrajet-replace?

Hi, Does anyone know if I can replace my Rochester Quadrajet for an Edelbrock 9905 carb?
Getting my current carburetor rebuilt will take a couple of weeks but I can order an Edelbrock and get it delivered in 2 days.
Does anyone know if this is an option?
Thanks Kevin

Probably
You can expect to spend a bit of time changing all the linkages and choke and whatnot to suit.

What's wrong with rebuilding your carb with a quick kit, maybe 4 hrs if you have not done it before... ?

Ya, never done that before. So I wouldn't want to spend a bunch of time on it only to not have it work. I'm already getting frustrated with all the work done on it so far this summer. I just want to drive it.
