A.I.R is a pollution control device standing for air induction reaction. An engine equipped would have the belt driven air pump and tubes inserted at exhaust ports on heads for air that would help with further burning of excess fuel in the exhaust. AIR could mean air conditioning or AC or it could mean the same thing as air induction reaction.
