57 fuel pump

I have run an electric pump on my 57 for 20 years and 2 pumps. They work well but can overpower needle valves if you go inside during warm up. And they{Holley or Carter} were both noisy. What mechanical pump can I use that does not have the stock double acting vacuum pump on top. The vacuum pump was also noisy and took up space where I intend to install an AC compressor. Thanks Pat

Lightbulb A modified version

A modified version of the same pump would probably do what you want. With the trend toward electric wipers, some dual action pumps were modified to be single action (fuel only) pumps. This amounted to removing all the vacuum portion of the dual action pump and providing a block off plate and gasket for the top opening of the pump.
