8-Track Removal

I have a '72 Cutlass. I'm trying to remove the AM/FM radio, but the car has an 8-track factory tape player in it. It looks like I have to take out the 8-track to get to the radio. There are two nuts that I can't get to. they are show on the attached picture.

Does anyone have a solution short of a half stick of TNT?

Use a 1/4" ratchet and a deep socket of the correct size (7/16 ?)...helps a lot if you are double jointed...

You probably also have AC. That means you would need to remove the 2 halves of the lower shroud to get the easiest access to those nuts. Once you get to that stage though, it should be easy. My car doesn't have AC or console, so working under the dash is relatively easy.
