Anyone complete an alternator conversion on a 54 Rocket 88?
I am looking for help from anyone who has done a conversion to an alternator on a 54 Rocket 88 or similar. Specifically I am looking for help with the wiring. If anyone has a wiring diagram for this vehicle I would greatly appreciate it.

Post this question in a different forum like the electrical or vintage forum and you will get better response. This is a common conversion and should not be hard to get a answer. Do you have a single wire alternator (internal regulated) or are you still going to use the external regulator? ... Tedd

I have one on my 54. It is a single wire and the wiring is simple. You run a wire from the alternator around to the other side where you positive battery cable connects. I got the wire at Home Depot and I think I used 8 gauge wire. I did have to make a new mounting bracket to get the pulley to line up correctly.
