350 intake on a 330?

Everything I have read makes me think it should work, but the intake I have is from a '73 350. It was a freebie and was pretty gunked up when I got it.

But it cleaned up pretty well. First with a spray off with the pressure washer, and then a couple days in a rust remover bath.

1. My engine needs new head gaskets so I will be taking the two-barrel intake and carb off anyway so will there be any problems with putting the 4-barrel on? I still need to get a Q-Jet for it.

2. This intake is made for an EGR valve. Can I simply block that off?

3. Should I block off the holes under the primary openings? It looks like I can drill the holes out and tap them for plugs, would that be worth the effort?

Any advice or heckling is welcome.

1. No
2. Yes
3. I left them as-is on my Performer 350 intake and I don't think it hurt anything.

If it was me I would tap the egr holes and plug them up, just for peace of mind for me.

I would look around for an A4 aluminum intake from a later Olds. They are lighter and a better performer than the one you have. If you do find one, un-screw the EGR tubes and plug the holes.

Plug the holes under the primaries and run it.
Be sure to check the underside of the manifold for cracks. mine was split about 2 inches.
