oil pump rebuild? successes/failures

OK first off sorry for all my new threads I feel I get better response with topic in title but anywho I found a oil pump rebuild kit on eBay for 25 bucks how many of you have rebuilt an oil pump is it easy I mean it looks it? Ik it looks cheaper than buying a new one. Please help

Screw that I just bought a nos one for 20 on eBay guy wanted to start bid off at 15 told him I'd like to buy it now he let it go for 20 free shipping

Not really sure what there is to rebuild. You can take it apart and clean it. Maybe replace the bypass spring. That's really about all there is. Some have a gasket that needs to be in place to give the gears end play. Once again, not really anything to wear out. They are after all full of oil at all times.

Also I would point out that every internal surface of the oil pump is a surface with critical dimensions, and, technically, a wear surface.
All of the vanes of the rotors, the ends of the rotors, the surfaces inside the pump casting where the rotors and the shafts run - all of these have very specific design clearances, which must be correct or the pump will not work properly.
If the have worn through abuse or extended use, every part would be worn and need replacement.

Yea I found a complete kit with the gears springs and such but no need since I scored a nos one for 20 plus free shipping
