olds 307 chevy 350 swap

Angry olds 307 chevy 350 swap

gotta problem friend gave me chevy 350 when he totaled his camaro cause i needed a motor for my 84 custom cruiser well after much work and toil i found that the mounts and tranny do not match up i know the gm mounts or that era were bolt in so new engine mounts will be no problem my question comes to will the 200 r4 hold up to a 450hp motor or will i have to get a new tranny and torque converter if so how hard are the tranny swaps

EVERYTHING is different - motor mounts, trans (possibly, unless you have a unisex 200-4R), accessory brackets, manifolds, etc. The A/C and starter are on opposite sides and require rewiring/replumbing. The easier solution is to sell the Chevy and buy an Olds 350 or 403.

That trans will work, but you will have to get it built up. Do a search on here there are several posts about it and the builder I think his name is Brian Hofer. Also you will need a trans bolt converter plate because B.O.P transmissions will not bolt right up

Actually, I think all 200-4R transmissions have the dual bolt pattern case.
