Oldsmobile 215 pushrod length-valve train noise

Does anyone out there know how long the Oldsmobile 215 pushrod has to

be to maintain correct valve train geometry? Do Buick and Olds 215's

have different length pushrods because of their different cylinder head

design? What about the lifters? Does anyone know where I can get a

set of Oldsmobile 215 rocker arms?

I have a NOS box of Erson 215 Olds replacement pushrods hiding somewhere in my garage. If I can locate them I'll get a length measurement for you.

Edit: found the length in Isky's online catalog. 8.234" for both I & E using stock rockers & hyd. lifters

By the way, they're not the same length as the Buick version.

this place will have all the parts and info you will ever need for the 215 engine. i am in the middle of dealing with them on my Jetfire 215 engine. i have found that there prices for parts are MUCH cheaper than anywhere else i have found.

if you need a gasket set and want felpro, i recommend getting a set soon. felpro said they are not likely to ever make them again and the old stock is drying up fast.

Went to the Team Buick website and posted the pushrod length question.

Reply is that the Buick 215 pushrod is 8.030 - 8.045 in length. Why the

two numbers I don't know. Possibly intake and exhaust?

Olds at 8.234...Buick at 8.030.

Thanks to all for the info.
