403 overbore conundrum

Got a 403 core that I was told was pristine, with the goal to use the 24 over KB pistons. Turns out the block is already 30 over and has a 1thou ring ridge.

1) Is it possible to barely bore this again to fit the KB 39 over pistons?
2) I've heard the 403 at 60 over is doomed to overheat. Anyone have experience or heard rumors about 39 over?

Thanks!
