large center bolt on 1970 350 crankshaft pulley

What size socket to get this off ? Help please! Don't want to have to make multiple trips to get right size. Thanks!

A guaranteed way to get the right side is to crawl under the car with a small piece of paper (post it note will work fine) and fold it the width of the bolt head. Crawl out, measure with a ruler and you have it!

BTW - creative avitar!

True. I'd had that thought. Won't be hard to do. Engine is on stand bieng torn down for rebuild. Was just taking a shot to see if anyone knew to save the guess work. Thanks though !

It is also possible that long ago that the original bolt could have been replaced with one with a slightly different head size, so measuing your own would be most accurate.

I am pretty sure it is 1 1/8 socket. Then you will need a puller to get the balancer off.

Ok. Cool. The puller I have. So I'm good there. Thanks for the info. Was wondering about the bolt bieng changed. I know the timing set was replaced in 92, but that is the extent of "internal" repairs on the engine until now. Hopefully will be ordering re ring kit this week and cam and lifters next check. Then next will be oil, fuel, and water pumps. Last will be carb, intake, and headers.
