Question Oil filter relocation reco (1970 Cutlass)

Hi folks,

My oil filter is almost right up against my Headman headers and I'd like to relocate it. Any recommendations on a kit for my 1970 Cutlass 350?

I've seen a couple on Summitracing.com, etc. but wanted to ask if someone has used one they are happy with.

Thanks,
James

You can always put a filter on from a mid-eightys 307, it would be a smaller diam. and still have the same gasket. No relocation would be needed. They make a short and long version.

Cool. I like that option. I might even wrap it in the same stuff I wrapped the starter in for that little extra piece of mind given its proximity to the headers. I'm also thinking I'll wrap the tranny cooling lines as they're pretty close too. The engine compartment gets real hot. So hot that I'm stalling out after it warms up at low idle. I have to investigate this separately. I'm thinking vapor lock or carb adjust but it runs just fine while RPM is above 1500.

I'll bring a spare filter with me when I look at the mid-80's 307 to match it up.

Thanks!
