1970 Cutlass Cruiser exhaust.

Recently acquired a 1970 Olds Cutlass Cruiser that's been in storage since the late 80s or early 90s. I got it fired up after some tune up parts and found that it is in dire need of a new exhaust. Its a 2 barrel 350 with the weirdest exhaust I've seen in awhile. The passenger manifold looks to have two outlets. The driver side downpipe crosses under the engine and into the passenger side manifold. Can I cap off on of the passenger side outlets and run a true dual system?

Thanks
J.R.

That is the typical single exhaust setup.
Yes, cap off the crossover port and run duals.

That's how the factory did it. The caps are reproduced. FYI, the pipes from the manifolds to the mufflers will be the same as those for a 4dr Cutlass, which has the same 116" wheelbase. If you want aftermarket 2.5" pipes, I suspect all of them are for the shorter 2dr (112" wheelbase) and will require a 4" section welded in. ElCamino tail pipes will exit right behind the rear wheels. This will help avoid sucking exhaust in the back window if you ever ride with it open.
