edelbrock 1403 reveiw

ok first off im writing this from the drop on and go p.o.v.

i started with a stock 1972 350 ( aftermarket intake and msd box) with a summit racing 600 cfm carb .

after about 4 months with that carb i started a new job at a automotive shop and working for a race car builder has its perks .

first off the summit carb ran good but was too big for the stock 350 so i ordered a 500 cfm edelbrock.

other the tuning the air fuel mix at idle and setting the choke the carb is as delivered

the summit carb caused the car to reek of fuel going down the road

after switching too the smaller carb the car runs great it will still spin the tires . start up easily ion the morning and run great on the highway but i gained a little m.p.g but no more fouled plugs or gas smell

my boss is an engineer and suggested the 500 cfm carb because the 600 cfm was too large even after a rejet we may jet the 500 up a little but so far its working great
