Cam gone bad?

How do I know if my new cam is wasted, bad lobe whatever?
It's running rough yet all the plugs are good. this is a recent rebuild with about 150 miles on it.
I broke it in the correct way, yet how would I know if the cams bad?

It sounds like it's missing on a cylinder and I have a lifter ticking.

This is an olds 355 with a Comp XE268h Cam. Thanks

The easiest is to verify/measure rocker arm movement. Verify that all intake and all exhaust are comparable to each other.

What are all the specs? I assume an adjustable valve train? You may have had an adjuster come loose, especially if you didn't crank on the poly locks.

A wiped cam lobe/s usually backfires out the carb badly, noticeable with quick throttle blips.
Checking the valve train would be your best bet as others mentioned.
Olds 307and 403 has lots of experience as of late, with poly locks if you have an adjustable valve train.
