Guys I have a chance to buy a good running 2bbl. 330 that was pulled from a 67 F85. It was attached to a 2 speed transmission. I have a couple of questions about this engine. I tried to look this up but just couldn't find a concrete answer. I'm really only interested in a 9:1 CR engine, but all the information I find says the only low compression motors were in export models. Would anyone be able to tell me if this is true? The other question about the same motor would be, did the 67 330 motors have a crankshaft drilled for a pilot bushing? Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.

Yes you could get the 2bbl engine with low compression. I don"t think the crank was drilled for a pilot bushing unless a manual trans was ordered.

Correct, if the engine came with an automatic then chances are it was not drilled.

All the information you have found is wrong. See the Specifications page from the 1967 Salesman's SPECS booklet. 2bbl 330 motors could have come with either 9.00:1 or 10.25:1 CR. The ONLY high compression version was installed in the Delmont with an automatic. All 330 2bbl motors in Cutlii were low compression. Only motors that came from the factory with a manual trans have the crank drilled, just like every other Olds V8.
