Lightbulb W31 350 for the street

Hey to all the "Olds" head, I'm a newbie but I've been reading through tons of forum and still can't find advice performance wise on building my w31 350 rocket. Any help or advice will be considered. But below I will describe what I have on it so far. If you need to know anything else about the motor please comment asking. I running this inside of my 77 cutlass supreme. I am also trying to figure how much hp I'm looking at when I'm finished with it.
69 golden 350 block
#5 heads
High rise intake
750 carb (which I haven't installed yet)
Plan on getting long tube headers soon
And still trying to figure out the lift and the best cam for the job
Came with the dual setup as you know, and I'm going to go back with dual 2.5
Need help with gears transmission and stall and all
Again I'm just wanting a good street car to compete with friends with.
We also own a 383 which I'm trying to keep up with so please comment your ideas and remember I'm a newbie.

Make the fight even, Cutlassefi is offering a stroker kit for that 350, will be 400+ ci. You need 2.07"/1.625" valves with the bowls opened up on your #5 heads. I assume the intake is the Performer RPM, a very good choice. Either the Street Demon or a Quickfuel Slayer series is a good 750 carb. What carb do you have? The cam will depend on your final compression and cubic inches, Mark(Cutlassefi) is an expert on that. Are you staying with the TH350? I would say 3.23 gears max, is a massive improvement over your current mid 2 gearing, if stock. Either the Hedman or Hooker 1 3/4" long tubes with 2.5" dual exhaust will get you there. Good luck

Thanks your correct on the intake. I already have the carb it's a holley 750 3310-9. For now I would sayI'm staying with the trans. Thank you for the suggestion on the build and I'll be looking into the things which you suggested.

I see you didn't mention anything about pistons. Do you have a decent set already or are you going to purchase them in the future?

Put in a cutlassefi stroker/rotating assembly, some stock big valve big block heads, port matched performer RPM intake, mild roller cam, headers, should run killer.

With a small block, as much gear and converter as you can handle street driving it around...

You didn't mention your budget though...

Their flat tops but don't know the specs though. In future I plan on rebuilding the whole thing but right now I'm trying to build without going all the way through. But if no easy way to do so then I'm all for breaking down and rebuilding everything.

Budget have none but I have to take it slow because I am a college student and have school, bills, and etc. as for the heads what's wrong with the #5 heads which I have on. They are great for performance. If not please stir me in the right direction.

Mark is old school, he likes grammar, punctuation and a capital at the beginning of sentences. You will need a large duration cam with flat top pistons using early 350 heads, you will have over 10 to 1 compression. A 2500+ stall, probably closer to 3000 rpm would be needed with the minimum 3.23 posi rear to have a hope against a 383. You are down 30 ci with OK heads in a heavy car. What are the specs on the 383?
